Now at over 600 million streams for this epic track using a Replay Heaven sample replay of the guitar hook from P.Diddy’s “I need a girl”.
Nektunez – Ameno Amapiano
Big style choral vibes here in the replay for this Amapiano modern classic.
Forever ’99 – I Love You
One of the most enjoyable replays to work on of 2021 was this rework of Silly Love Love songs by Paul McCartney and Wings for Boys Noize founder Alex Ridha. I was really fun to work on the multiple overlapping melodies delivered by such contrasting and recognisable voices, plus recording all the live brass and strings on period correct 70s equipment etc.
Ed Sheeran – Collide
Replay Heaven worked for producer Fred Again (a regular collaborator / client) on recreating percussion elements in this track to clear the master of the audio hits.
Ben Nicky – We Come 1
A full vocal replay here of the Faithless classic. Over 20 million streams.
Duane Harden, House Gospel Choir – You Don’t Know Me
Replay Heaven had to do a sample replay of the entirety of Armand Van Helden’s legendary You Don’t Know Me, including both the source Carrie Lucas “Dance with you” sample, and all the additional AVH production from the 90s, including matching the correct samplers and 90s rack effects. Ironically at the same time we were replaying Armand Van Helden for one client, while doing replays for Armand himself too. Such is dance music.
Kurupt FM, Jaykae, MIST – Dreaming
One of the great things about working at Replay Heaven is the opportunities it affords to work with the greatest legends in the industry, and also the kings of the underground. This track ticks both boxes.
We also did the sample replay for this:
Joel Corry & Jax Jones featuring Charli XCX & Saweetie – Out Out
This all start summer banger is based around Replay Heaven’s replaying of the iconic synth riff from Stromae’s “Alors On Danse”.
Mahalia – Whenever You’re Ready
Mahalia’s Whenever You’re Ready is based around a Replay Heaven sample replay of Get It On Tonight by Montell Jordan, which in turn samples Claudja Barry – Love For The Sake Of Love.
Rain Radio & DJ Craig Gorman – Talk About
This inspired remix of Nelly Furtado’s Big Hoops (The Bigger The Better) features replayed vocals by the Replay Heaven and after a slow start is building into a SMASH!
Goodboys – Bongo Cha Cha Cha
Full big band? Singing in Italian (with a Spanish twist?)? All part of a days work at Replay Heaven!
Tom Everett – Patti
Ahaaa! Back to the good old days when you can have a hit with a Replay Heaven replay of an entire disco track with your own drums added! 🙂
Enny – Peng Black Girls
Here’s one of our favourite projects we’ve worked on recently – not one – but 2 versions of Enny’s amazing “Peng Black Girls” one using an Angie Stone sample and one using a Jeff Lorber sample, both replayed by Replay Heaven:
Regard – Ride It
One of the biggest tracks in the world in 2019 – and those vocals? Replayed by Replay Heaven…
Pusha T – Coming Home ft. Ms. Lauryn Hill
One of many replays we have done for the great Pusha T, now with a Lauryn Hill feature too!
Smoke DZA – Santos Party House feat. Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Curren$y, Girl Talk
A wonderful who’s who of rap here, all running over a cool groove of a Michael Wycoff sample replayed by Replay Heaven…
Kano – Free Years Later
One of the most beautiful and epic samples we have had to replay here, full live orchestral strings – a replay of a cover of a Sade intro.
Major Lazer, J Balvin, Diplo – Que Calor
Replay Heaven had to search high and low for the exact right ethnic flute to match the sound of the sample in this track!
Rimmel ‘Obsession’ advert
Replay Heaven developed this cover of Animotion Obsession for Rimmel’s TV campaign.
The Chemical Brothers – We’ve Got To Try
Replay Heaven have worked extensively with The Chemical Brothers on their 2019 album No Geography but nowhere to more exciting effect than on the track We’ve Got To Try. I think this is a great example of the creative opportunities offered by using a replay rather than the original sample, as Tom was able to solo elements like the vocals and strings in the mix as we provided everything as stems. We also were able to sing new original material that wasn’t in the sample, but matches up with the sample sonically.
